Appearance: Average height, pretty thin, bright red hair in a rat tail. Overall, he gives a fairly casual air, and always seems to be in a state of minor disarray, which is partially due to the fact that he never bothers to button his shirt completely. Special abilities/talents: He is very good at fighting when he wants to be. He is highly observant, though he doesn't tend to act on it. He can pilot a helicopter. He also has a relatively high alcohol tolerance, for what it's worth. Quirks: He has sort of an odd sense of humor, sort of the type to laugh at the world just because it's absurd, and maybe add a bit to the absurdity. He also enjoys gossip, at least sometimes. Personality: Reno is the type of person who just takes life as it comes. He takes his job seriously for the most part, but if he is called on to do something he doesn't want to do, he will generally do his best to avoid actually doing it. In FF7, he spends basically the entire game under orders to kill the main character, and never does despite numerous opportunities (and other bits of the canon suggest that he would have been quite capable of it, if he wanted to) This gives him the appearance of being very lazy, which isn't really the case. He will definitely go out of his way for something he cares about. If it's a person he cares about, he tends to be passively protective (like keep an eye on them from a distance and jump in if necessary) and generally assume people can take care of themselves. Sexual orientation: Bisexual, and prone to assorted short-term relationships. Reputation: That depends on whose viewpoint. Among the Turks, he's pretty well liked and respected. Among the Shinra higher-ups, he probably has a reputation for being sort of lazy and generally a little silly, but overall dependable. To main character group, he's probably an annoyance and something to be mildly afraid of. It seems unlikely that anyone else would know too much about him. Background Information: As said above, he is a Turk and has been since he was a teenager (I assume), and that more or less defines his place in the world. I imagine he was a street kid and sort of got absorbed into his line of work when he was old enough. His job led to an emotional conflict when he was 20 or so when the leader of the Turks left the group and those who remained were expected to kill the renegade. He, like the rest of them, decided he wasn't willing to do that even if it put all of their lives on the line. Beyond that, his job has generally dictated his life and not too many events have been especially noteworthy. Among the Turks, he is not in charge, but ends up functioning as a sort of secondary leader. Heaven or Hell? It was Hell that chose to drag him into this fight against his will, and he will stay there at least until he has a much better idea of what's going on.
